Many people in America celebrate Thanksgiving, so for those who celebrate it: HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I hope and pray that you had a wonderful and amazing lunch/dinner! I pray that this is the year of thanksgiving that is truly graceful and filled with love, thanksgiving and God's presence!
I honestly don't know what Thanksgiving celebration is suppose to look like because I've only celebrated it three times as of this year. My family does not celebrate Thanksgiving. It does not mean that we are not thankful, it is just not part of the tradition I grew up in. In the Philippines, the biggest celebration is Christmas. I will talk about Christmas celebration soon... However, with the three different times I've celebrated of Thanksgiving with friends' families, I cannot tell what is the traditional Thanksgiving celebration. Each family celebrated the holiday differently, but I still LOVED and ENJOYED the celebrations. The first time I celebrated Thanksgiving was during my freshman year with a floormate's family. Last year (as a sophomore), I celebrated with another friend's family (Maddie Hock). This year (as a junior), God has given me the opportunity to celebrate it with my friend and RA staff member Kaitlyn Farris!
As I've mentioned before, each family celebrates with different traditions. As I am not given the chance to go home for this holiday, I find it intriguing to hear and see the different ways people celebrate the holiday. My question for you: What are you favorite traditions with Thanksgiving celebration?
