What is the meaning of FALL to me (and others)?
Fall in Michigan has been truly at its best this year. The leaves slowly change colors from green to different tones of orange, red, yellow and brown. As the leaves change colors, the wind picks up its pace that leads to more leaves falling on the ground. I enjoy hearing the rustling of the leaves as they are dragged by the wind; I also enjoy the crunch of the leaves when I step on them. The beauty of fall here in Michigan and at Calvin's campus has been impeccably beautiful. Although Calvin's campus has its beauty with fall, my favorite parts of fall are apple ciders, apple picking and baking with apples. Apples are definitely a big part of fall.
One Saturday afternoon, my floor and I decided to go apple picking at Klackle's Orchard.
Many Calvin students go to Robinettes for apple picking, but my friend suggested Klackle. She said that it would be a better place to go for apples and for some activities, but most importantly they have better deals with apple picking. Each person was able to get a 1/4-peck bag of apples that they pick themselves. The RAs were also able to provide some donuts and apple ciders for the residents who attended the event. Pumpkin cinnamon sugar and caramel apple donuts are a the best flavors of donuts Klackle has, in my opinion.
Klackle also offers hayrides, a pumpkin patch and a petting zoo of farm animals.
