It’s practically impossible to study abroad in Europe without doing some independent travel. Before coming to Spain, I had so many dreams of different places I wanted to see, and I’m happy to say I’m going to see practically all of them! April will be an extremely busy month for me, since I’m going somewhere different every weekend. This past weekend I visited my friend in Valencia, and then I’m leaving Thursday for Spring Break, when I’m going to Amsterdam, Brussels, Luxembourg, Paris, Rome and Venice. After that I’m going to Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands in Spain. Finally, I finish all my exploration with a long weekend in London.
Although all of this is certainly very thrilling, it was also very overwhelming to plan. Planning trips is much harder than I realized. I poured hours upon hours researching where to go, what to do, what to eat, and what to see. However, I’m hoping all my planning pays off (to be determined!).
After all of this planning, I’ve definitely learned a lot (much more than the simple truth: it’s hard). If you’re planning on traveling, this week’s series will focus on every resource and tool to help you have the best trip possible. Also, make sure to keep checking back all throughout April because I’ll mostly be blogging on all the different places I’m visiting! Here’s to a month of new adventures!
